The Scares That Shaped Us Episodes 53 and 54
I'm a little behind in posting the podcast to the newsletter because, well, my brain just basically gave out after 31 straight Halloween essays. Let's play a little catch-up, shall we?
First, on Halloween week, we had writer and monster-maker Trevor Henderson on the show to talk about his work designing creatures, writing Scarewaves, and why the 1988 anthology series Monsters means so much to him. You can check that out here:
Then, earlier this week, we had one of the finest writers working today in any genre, Nathan Ballingrud, on the show to talk about the second book in his Lunar Gothic Trilogy, Cathedral of the Drowned. Nathan wanted to talk about Clive Barker, specifically his story "Dread," marking the latest chapter in an informal series of Barker conversations on the show. You can hear that right here:
And as always, you can catch up with every episode we've done so far in our host archive.
Next Week: Jonathan Maberry's on the show to talk I Am Legend, and that episode drops 11/12 at Noon Central!
