The Scares That Shaped Us Episode 47: The Tommyknockers with Keith Rosson

Keith Rosson is one of the most exciting horror novelists working right now. I was blown away by his book Fever House and its sequel, The Devil By Name, so I was thrilled to learn he had a vampire novel out this year.
And Coffin Moon absolutely delivers, attaching Keith's particular style that blends crime and horror to a new narrative, a new time and place, and unforgettable characters, including one of my new favorite vampires on the page. He's been a must-have guest on the pod for me for quite a while, so I was very happy when he accepted the invite.
This time out, we continue a recent run of Stephen King tales on the show and dive into The Tommyknockers, a book that's often maligned and better remembered for King's drug abuse at the time of writing it than for its content. Is it one of his best? Probably not, but there's a lot in there to love, as Keith and I unpack in the episode.
